Carol McCollum

Carol Engstrom McCollum, age 89, a resident of St. Louis MO, passed away June 8, 2025.  Carol was born in Chicago to the late Clarence and Phyllis (nee Larson) Engstrom; she was raised by her loving family in Chicago and though she moved around in her adult years, she always claimed Chicago as her home.  She and her family knew Jesus as their Savior and Lord and lived, served and died in His grace.  Carol was the beloved wife of L. Wayne McCollum and mother of:  Dan (Susie) McCollum; Jeff (Vicki) McCollum; JoAnne (Jeff) Brands, and Dale (Nancy) McCollum.  She is survived by them as well as her twelve beloved grandchildren:  Alyson Noell; Scott McCollum; Josh McCollum; Lindsey Rongey; Andrew McCollum; Jenna Dahms; Laura Graeler; Jason McCollum; Tim McCollum; Jessica Anschutz; Katie McCollum and Caroline Sease.  Carol and Wayne have seventeen beloved great grandchildren.  Carol is also survived by her dear brothers:  Dr. C. David (Char) Engstrom and retired U.S. Air Force Col. Philip (Sharon) Engstrom.  Carol was the treasured hub of the family, exhibiting the fruit of God's Spirit and sharing His love and grace. 

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 30, 2025, at 11:00 at Shorewood Bible Church, 1900 Hicks Rd. Rolling Meadows, Illinois.  Interment to follow in Fairview Memorial Park, Northlake, Illinois.  In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to a charity of your choice, or in Carol's memory to Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) at PO Box 675241 Dallas, TX  75267.
